This summer, Kids Direct becomes a 'teenager', celebrating 13th years since our first publication in Autumn 1995.
To coincide with with this, we are finally launching an e-newsletter service for parents of 11-16 year olds for Cambridge and the surrounding villages.
Kids Direct is a well-established resource that many local parents have come to appreciate and value, but when the youngest child in the family moves on to secondary school, they suddenly find themselves with no information at all.
We have been asked many times to produce a magazine for this age group, but in our experience many teenagers have difficulty getting themselves and their belongings (particularly their homework!) home from school, without having to depend on them to remember a magazine as well!
With our steadily improving IT skills and the success of the Kids Direct e-newsletter service, a new e-newsletter service, where the information would land directly in parent's inboxes seemed a more feasible option. We anticipate that e-newsletters will be sent out at least once per term, and hopefully each half term to co-incide with each of the school holidays. If you have any suggestions about what information you would like to see included, we would love to hear from you.
