Having fun together as a family has to be one of the most rewarding aspects of parenthood. We have tried to compile a wide and varied range of suggested activities, and whilst many of them will cost you something and be dependant on having your own transport, we have tried to include places that are free or offer particularly good value and also indicated where a particular location is well served by public transport.

Whilst we do endeavour to provide accurate information, things do change, particularly opening times and entry costs, so it is advisable to phone and check these details before setting out.

You will occasionally see these symbols below. These indicate that a report is available on a particular attraction, either written by a child, parent or the editor. We hope you find these helpful.
