During half term, my family and I and three other families went to Wimpole Home Farm for the day. There is a nice big car park and it cost £5.10 for adults and £3.20 for children but if you are a member of the National Trust it is cheaper. Where you buy tickets, you can also buy food to feed the sheep and goats. There were lost of animals such as horses, sheep, lambs, pigs, piglets, goats, cows, chickens and turkeys.
We were pleased to see that they had put sinks outside the cafe so we could wash our hands after stroking and feeding the animals. The cafe sells hot drinks, children's picnic boxes, hot and cold lunches, cakes and puddings. Outside the cafe there is a playground and a tractor park for under eight year olds. There are also lots of tables outside for people who had brought their own picnics to sit at.
- Wear wellies - it is very muddy!
- It gets quite crowded at the cafe and picnic area, so be patient!
- Do not wear your best clothes because you can get quite muddy.
- Goats eat anything! Don't have anything hanging out of your pockets - they will have it for lunch!
And most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!
