II recently had a day out at Shepreth Wildlife Park. When we go
there, we were greeted by a very friendly young woman who gave
us maps and a small bag of animal feed each. My first impressions
were good, I liked this zoo. My family and I started walking through
the zoo grounds and we soon came to a big lake with huge fishes
in it. I heard my two brothers laughing. I turned around to find them
both lying on their stomachs with their arms dangling in the water.
A whole school of fishes had started to suck on their fingers and
Same and James were both giggling uncontrollably. We then moved
on to find a whole variety of other animals: ostriches, parrots,
porcupines and many more. When we had finished looking at all
the animals, we went to a play park where my parents would relax
and have a cup of coffee while we let off even more steam. It was
beginning to get dark so together we walked back through the front
gate and headed home.

In the school holidays, I visited Shepreth Wildlife Park. When we got there we chose some food to feed the animals and the fish. As we started walking around we saw a lot of different birds such as owls, doves and parrots. There were also lots of different animals too like tigers, donkeys, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs, pigs, monkeys, chimps and lots more. My favourite bit was feeding the ponies, llamas and fish and looking at the tigers. Another good thing was stroking the rabbits. I also saw a peacock spread out his feathers. There was also a great play area where yo ucould bounce on the trampoline, climb on the climbing frame and do lots of other things too. This trip was great fun.
