Glaze to Amaze is a great place to go as a family, particularly when the weather is no so good, I have also found it a great place to go for a special treat with just one child. As our children are getting older, we have started trying to have some special time with each of them individuallly, with either Mum or Dad and occasionally with both, and as well as being fun for everyone, Glaze to Amaze also provides an opportunity to talk as well.

Once you have made the difficult choice of what you would like to paint, you can then settle down at your own table and start thinking about designs and colours. For younger children I have found it helpful to narrow the choice down for them and get them to work on a design at home beforehand, as once they are in the shop, they are always impatient to get painting.

The staff are very friendly and always on hand to provide valuable advice and help if needed. Once you have finished, your masterpieces are fired and glazed and will be ready for you to collect in a few days.

Verdict: Great fun for all ages, regardless of artistic ability, and a relaxing and rewarding way to spend a few hours together.
