Editor's Review - Cambridge Model Engineering Society
end of Fulbrooke Road, Newnham, Cambridge
Down a track, at the end of a quiet street in Newnham is a wonderful place for kids and yet it is not on any list of Cambridge ‘attractions’ that I know of and is very much ‘off the beaten track’.
The miniature railway run by
the Cambridge Model Engineering Society is in a beautiful location where it runs between trees and through grassy areas. The trains are of varying gauges and rides are available on some of them for a small charge. The
railway is open to the public on the 2nd Sunday of each month from May to October, from 2pm - 5.30pm. To find the railway, go down to the end of Fulbrooke Road, take the track to the left which runs behind the rugby
ground and the railway is a little way down on the right! Please note that parking is very limited.
