Your kids are growing up...and so are we!
This autumn, Kids Direct becomes a 'teenager' as we celebrate not only 13 years in print in the Cambridge area but also our 40th issue!
It's now over 13 years since I published the first issue of Kids Direct for the Cambridge area - a small 16-page black and white magazine that doesn't bear comparison to the thick glossy colour magazine that it is today. The one thing that has not changed is my commitment to providing a service that provides local parents with information that is both useful, practical and up-to-date. As my own children are now well into their teens, I am dependent on you, local parents, to help me keep up-to-date with what is available locally, so please email me any discoveries you may have made.
Our 13th year in print also seemed an appropriate time to finally get round to extended our information to include the 11-16 age group. Many of you will now have received copies of Kids Direct throughout your children's primary years, and many of you have contacted me about the lack of information available once they move on to secondary school. I II have considered producing a magazine for this age group, but in
my experience teenagers have difficulty getting themselves and their
belongings (particularly their homework!) home from school, without having to
depend on them to remember a magazine as well! The logical solution is to send the information directly to you, the parents, via email. If you are interested in subscribing to this service, simply click here.
I do hope that you find the site useful. It you can't find what you are looking for or would like to make any suggestions or comments, It is always helpful to hear from local parents, so please drop me an email if you have a moment or use the online contact form.
